Give your puppy the best start possible. Our tiniest clients, 8-16 weeks old, will get started with crate training, potty training, obedience positions and being on leash. The most exciting part of puppy training are the engagement sessions. Your puppy will participate in 4-5 engagement sessions per day. This develops the puppy’s ability to pay attention to YOU without commands. It’s fun for everyone and creates a strong foundation for future training. We also head out for adventure walks allowing your puppy to explore its new world.
We offer private lessons in your home and at our training facility. Whether you want to be more involved in your dog’s training, have a specific issue you need help with or your dog doesn’t prefer a group setting, one-on-one sessions are a great way to go. We focus on teaching one skill per lesson so we can move to the next step during each visit.
Our 1-4 week advanced program will continue reinforcing the material taught in the foundation program with additional distractions while adding advanced commands.
This program can include a sit stay, down stay and a recall. The program is great way to not only advance your dogs obedience, but also continue with your dogs socialization.
At Lakeshore K9 we do not train dogs because they are bad or naughty. We believe all the dogs we train are amazing family pets that lack structure and consistency due to busy day to day distractions of real life. The reason we train dogs is to give their humans' a better way to consistently communicate with them on a daily basis.
Our programs are designed to allow the certified trainers at Lakeshore K9 to teach and condition the behaviors you need your pet to perform daily. At the end of the program our certified trainers will train each family member how to reinforce what your pet has learned in a one on one lesson.
This method of training enables your dog to learn from a professional with consistency, appropriate timing, and constant motivation. It also makes for a fun stress free one on one lesson with the human because your pet has already learned the new rules.
